How to add a Call-to-action button to your flipbooks?

Did you know that you can add a Call-to-action button to your flipbooks? This button will be visible to all visitors who read your publication on a desktop device. As it is part of the interface, it will always be visible no matter what page your reader is looking at. You can change the text and the link to be opened when the button is clicked to your liking.


A common use case is to use it as a Contacts button. This is a great way to direct visitors to your own website if they found your flipbook, for example, on Google. But even if you only embed your flipbooks into your own website (and didn't enable SEO-Indexation), a CTA button can still be useful. Just ask yourself the question “What action do I want my visitor to take next when reading this flipbook?” and put the answer in the CTA button. For example:

To set up the Call to action button:

  1. Click the Customize button for the flipbook you want to add a CTA-button to.
  2. Expand the Controls section.
  3. Click on the Contacts button (named after its most popular use case)
  4. Enable the Show Contacts Button Slider, change the Button Text and Web address as required, and press OK.
  5. Press the Finish button near the top left corner to save your changes. 

Pro tip: you can add parameters in the URL as well. For example, if you would use the URL https://flippingbook.com/contacts?contact-form=support&subject=Need%20help%20with%20CTA-button, then the parameters will be sent as well. In our case, it opens our Contacts page, selects the support section, and creates a message with the subject ‘Need help with CTA-button’. In a similar vein, you can add UTM parameters for Google Analytics.   

NoteThe Contacts Button only appears on desktop computers and is not shown on phones and tablets.​
