Creating short, looping videos
FlippingBook Online Optimal and higher allows you to create animations from your video files. This can be useful when you want to show a product from different angles, add atmosphere, or create a quick visual impression of a location. Such videos are almost GIF-like. They just last a few seconds, start automatically, have no sound, and keep repeating. It is not the kind of video that you want your reader to Start, Stop, Skip forward, Pause. It should just be there and play.
Click on the flipbook below to see how you can use animations to make your catalog more vivid and engaging:
To enrich your flipbooks with such videos, follow the guidelines below:
- Make sure your flipbook is in the Editor mode.
- Insert your video by copying/pasting your mp4 video link or choosing your video file using the Browse button (available in Advanced or higher).
- Click on the video and pay attention to the Display settings on the right. Choose Inline as your Playback mode.
- Also, put ticks next to the Autoplay, Play on loop, and Start at options. Untick the option Display playback controls.
- Go to the Icon settings and choose Never for the Show icon option.
- When done, press Finish to save changes.
As such videos are GIF-like, you can use a GIF as well. However, videos will look better as they allow a much higher resolution, better quality, and more frames per second than GIFs.
