Creating short, looping videos
In FlippingBook Online Optimal and higher, you can use your video files as animations. Useful when you want to show a product from different angles, create a quick visual impression of a location, or just add atmosphere. Such videos are almost GIF-like. They typically are short, start automatically, have no sound, and keep repeating. It is not the kind of video that you want your reader to start, stop, or pause manually. It should just be there and play.
Below you can see an example of such an animation that makes the brochure more vivid and engaging:
To enrich your flipbooks with such videos, follow the guidelines below:
- Open your flipbook in the Editor.
- Insert your video by copying/pasting your mp4 video link or choosing your video file using the Browse button (available in Advanced 👑 or higher).
- Click on the video and update the settings in the panel on the right as follows:
- Choose Inline as your Playback mode.
- Enable the Autoplay and Play on loop settings.
- Disable the Display playback controls setting.
- Go to the Icon settings and set the Show icon option to Never.
- When done, press Finish to save changes.
GIFs achieve a similar result, but videos look better because they have a higher resolution and more frames per second than GIFs.
Note!🔇Videos that you add this way are played without sound. This is because there are no display controls, so your readers have no way to mute videos otherwise!
