How can I upgrade or downgrade my license?

After you have been using FlippingBook Online for some time you may find that you need more functionality or create more flipbooks than your current plan allows. Or on the contrary, that a lower plan meets your needs as well. In this article, we describe how to upgrade to a higher plan or downgrade to a lower plan. Other upgrades (more flipbooks without changing plans, additional custom domains, additional users, or additional trackable links) are possible with the help of our support team.

Upgrading to a higher plan

If you would like to upgrade your package to a higher plan:

  1. Open the Subscription page in your online account
  2. Below your subscription details, you will see the plans, which are higher than your current plan. Differences compared to your current plan are marked with a ★. Press the Upgrade button under the plan you're interested in.

If you are not sure yet, use the link 'or book a live demo' right under the Upgrade button. Our success managers can show you all the benefits of your new plan.
  3. If you press the upgrade button, a pop-up window appears with the price for the upgrade. The price will be prorated for the current period based on the difference in price between your current plan and the higher plan, and the remaining time for the paid period. You will also see the price for the following billing cycles.
  4. Press the Upgrade button in the pop-up window to finalize the upgrade. Your credit card will immediately be charged, or you will be taken to the checkout page if you use an offline payment method.

Downgrading to a lower plan

If you would like to downgrade your package to a lower plan, please contact us, and we will help you further. We will describe exactly which features you will lose to prevent any misunderstandings. It’s only possible to downgrade to a lower plan if you do not exceed the limitations of your new plan. For example, you cannot downgrade to the Starter plan if you have 28 flipbooks in your account, because the Starter plan is limited to 10 flipbooks.

You can check the limit for the number of flipbooks on the pricing page. If you switch to a lower plan, any features that are only available in the higher plan will be removed/disabled for all flipbooks - existing and new.
