How to create my own button in a flipbook?

In Can I add videos, links, images, and forms with the Editor?, we introduced the Editor.
The Editor is available with FlippingBook Online Optimal and higher plans.

In this article, we'll show you two ways to create a custom button:

Using an image to create a custom button

Note💡Here, you'll need to have an image ready to use for your own CTA button.
Don't have an image yet? See the next section to learn how to use a form instead.

1. To create a custom button using an image, open your flipbook in the Editor
2. Go to the page where you want to add the element. You can use the page navigator at the bottom or scroll through the thumbnail panel to quickly jump to a specific page.
3. Choose whether you want to add an Inline image or an Animated GIF (if you have Advanced or higher), then click the corresponding button in the menu on the left-hand side.
4. Add an image or GIF from your device or from the web. Once added, drag it into place, and adjust its size if needed.
5. Next, add a Link by clicking the Link option in the menu on the left-hand side. Once added, drag it over the image/GIF element.
6. Click Finish to save your changes.

Using a form to create a custom button

What if you need a quick solution or simply don't want to design an image or GIF? You can use a Form to add the visual part of your custom button quickly!
Any form link will do, because the reader won't be opening the form itself. We only use it to generate the element. You can use this one: https://forms.gle/7WYcKnKNaSZVenqc7

1. To create a custom button using a Form, open your flipbook in the Editor
2. Go to the page where you want to add the element. Use the page navigator at the bottom or scroll through the thumbnail panel to quickly jump to a specific page.
3. Click on Forms & Quizzes in the left-hand menu and add the form and adjust its size if needed. By default, the form displays as a button, and that's just what we need!
   You can customize your button by changing its Caption, Color, Font size, and Rounded corners. Click on the button to view the Button Settings in the right panel. Then:
   
   • With Caption, change the text you want to display.
   • Customize the Color: Choose a color using an RGB code or the color picker.
   • Adjust the Font Size with the + and – buttons or by entering a value manually.
   • With Rounded corners, change the appearance of your button from fully rounded (100%) to perfectly square (0%) or anywhere in between.
4. Next, add a Link by clicking in the Link option in the menu on the left-hand side. Once added, adjust its size to completely cover the button.
5. Click Finish to save your changes.

Custom button, Logo, or CTA: Which should I use?

As we've seen above, a custom link button comes in handy if you need a CTA on an specific page: booking a demo, filling out a form, opening a product page, or accessing additional resources on a specific page in your flipbook.

The Call-to-action button and the logo (which you can also use as a CTA!) are better for links that should always be visible. Both are built into the flipbook interface, making them visible on every page when readers view your flipbook.
