Can I make my flipbook panels transparent?

Using FlippingBook Online Optimal or higher, you can select the color for your flipbook panels. But what if you also want to change the transparency of your panels? That is possible by using the tip we describe in this article.

By default the top panel of flipbooks is opaque, and the bottom panel is transparent. Here is what both panels look like:

So if your bottom panel should be transparent, you can just keep the default skin. Of course, you can change the background image to your liking.

This article covers the other transparency variants for your panels. Note that if you want to change your panels’ transparency, there is no special feature for that. However, there is some workaround that will help you to still pick the desired transparency for panels. This article will help you to find out the following:

 

How to make both the top and bottom panels transparent?

Here’s an example where we made both panels transparent and added the background image which suits our flipbook well:

If you want to create something similar, here are the steps to take to have both panels transparent:

  1. Open the list of your flipbooks.
  2. Hover over the flipbook you'd like to change and choose the Customize option.
  3. Click the Skin setting on the left and select the White Style skin.
  4. Go to the Branding setting and choose the Background image option to load a background image that best suits your content (or choose the Color palette option to choose the color of your background).
  5. Once your flipbook is ready, press Finish to save changes.
 

How to make both the top and bottom panels opaque?

Your flipbook can also have both the top and bottom panels opaque:

Here is the instruction to add opaque panels to your flipbook:

  1. Open the list of your flipbooks.
  2. Hover over the flipbook you'd like to change and choose the Customize option.
    Click the Skin setting on the left and select the Shabby Chic skin. We will change the colors and background in the next steps.
  3. Go to the Branding setting and choose the Background image to put any image of your choice (or remove it completely).
  4. Choose the Color palette setting to change the panel color as desired.
  5. Once your flipbook is ready, press Finish to save changes.
 

How to make your top panel transparent?

You can also make the top panel of your flipbook transparent and look like this:

In case you want to apply this option to your flipbook, follow the steps below:

  1. Open the list of your flipbooks.
  2. Hover over the flipbook you'd like to change and choose the Customize option.
  3. Click the Skin setting on the left and select the Purple Charm skin (or the Green Vintage skin).
  4. Go to the Branding setting and choose the Background image option to load a background image that best suits your content.
  5. Choose the Color palette setting to change the panel color as desired.
  6. Once your flipbook is ready, press Finish to save changes.
