How to brand my flipbooks?

Branding your flipbooks helps readers immediately recognize your company and creates a more professional reading experience.

FlippingBook lets you customize your publication with ready-made skins, your own colors, logo, background image, favicon, and a call-to-action button.

Branding features and plan availability

Skins and the Call-to-action button are available on all plans. Premium branding features, such as Logo, Favicon, Background Image, and Color Palette, are available on the Optimal plan and higher.

On Lite or Starter, you can preview premium branding features, but you’ll need to upgrade to apply them.

Start branding your flipbook

To start, go to the list of your flipbooks, hover over the flipbook you want to brand, and click Customize.

Add a Skin

A Skin controls your flipbook’s overall appearance, including the background image, menu colors, and opacity settings for the top and bottom menu bars.

Choose one of our 50+ ready-made skins to quickly give your flipbook a branded look.

  1. In Customize, open Branding & Style and click Skin.
  2. Select one of the 50+ ready-made skins. You can browse different skin categories in the panel on the left to quickly find a style that matches your brand. Once you've found one you like, click OK to apply it.
  3. Click Finish at the top of the page to save the changes.
 

Add a Call-to-action button

Add a Call-to-action button to direct readers to your website, contact form, online store, or any other page.

The button is part of the flipbook interface and stays visible while readers browse your publication on desktop computers.

  1. Open Branding & Style and enable the Call-to-action button.
  2. Add the button text and the link you want to open.
  3. Click OK, then click Finish to save your changes.

Change colors for navigation elements

Available on Optimal and higher.

The Color Palette lets you fine-tune the colors of your flipbook interface.

You can customize:

  • Panels: the top and bottom bars, plus pop-up windows like Download or Share;
  • Background: the flipbook background, side panels like Thumbnails, and pop-up windows like Share or Print;
  • Link Highlights: the color used to highlight links when readers flip to a new page.

Combine the Color Palette with a Skin or Background Image for a fully branded experience.

 

Change the Background Image

Available on Optimal and higher.

The Background Image feature lets you replace the default Skin background with your own image.

  1. Inside Branding & Style, click the button next to Background Image.
  2. Click Browse Image to upload an image from your device. We recommend using 1920x1080 px, or at least 1280x720 px. Smaller images may look blurry on high-resolution screens.
  3. Adjust how the image appears using the settings below.
  4. Click Finish to save the changes.
Setting Result
Tile Keeps the image in its original size and repeats it to cover the screen.
Fill Resizes the image to fill the full screen, even if some parts fall outside the visible area.
Fit Resizes the image so the whole image is visible. The remaining space uses the background color from the Color Palette.
Filling From Pins the selected area so that part of the image always remains visible.
Tuning icon Located in the bottom-right corner of the window. Lets you restore the default background image or remove it completely.

Note! ⚠️ Without a Background Image, your background will use the color selected in the Color Palette.

Change the Logo

Available on Optimal and higher.

Upload your Logo to replace the standard Made with FlippingBook logo or remove it completely.

Tip! 💡 We support GIF files, so you can use an animated logo if you want your publication to stand out.

  1. Inside Branding & Style, click the button next to Logo.
  2. Choose Browse Logo Image to upload your logo. To remove the logo, click the tuning icon and select Remove.
  3. Optionally, add a link to your website in Web Address (URL). When visitors click your logo, this URL opens in a new tab.
  4. Click OK, then click Finish to save the changes.

For the best experience, use a PNG file with a transparent background.

Note! ⚠️ The logo is responsive and adjusts to the space available in the bottom-right corner. If the browser window is very small, the logo may be slightly covered by the flipbook.

 

Change the Favicon

Available on Optimal and higher.

A favicon appears in the browser tab and can also be visible in bookmarks, browser history, and search results. A custom favicon helps readers recognize your flipbook when they have several tabs open.

You can upload a favicon, import it from a website, remove it, or restore the default icon.

  1. Inside Branding & Style, click the button next to Favicon.
  2. In the Edit Favicon window, choose one of the following:
    • click Browse Image to upload a favicon from your device OR
    • enter a website URL and click Import to use that website’s favicon. Some websites don’t allow fetching their favicon this way, so you may see an error message.
  3. To remove the favicon or reset it to the default icon, click the tuning icon and select the corresponding option.
  4. Click OK, then click Finish to save the changes.

Tip! 💡 The most common favicon size is 32x32 px. We recommend using an .ico or .png file with a transparent background.

 

Save branding settings for all flipbooks

You can save your branding settings as default for future and existing flipbooks. This is useful if you want all your publications to share the same style without setting everything manually each time.
