How Camlog Creates Online Catalogs for the Dental Industry with FlippingBook

Camlog is a leading supplier of comprehensive systems and products for implant and restorative dentistry. The company’s implant systems are characterized by an ideal number of system components as well as easy and efficient handling properties. Camlog always strives to communicate with their customers and partners, and listen to them. The company is also constantly improving their services.

Challenge and Search for Solution

Camlog saw that the dental industry was faced with the challenge of changing, diversifying, and adapting. The industry had to deal with new technologies, materials, and concepts, and think out of the box.

Camlog looked into their statistics and saw that over 26% of their corporate website visitors used mobile devices. It was essential for the company’s busy audience to open catalogs quickly and find specific information without wasting time. Camlog’s catalogs didn’t look nice on mobile devices, and it was really hard to find information in them. Thus, the main features Camlog wanted to see in their new catalogs were a convenient search tool and compatibility with various devices.

We were looking for an alternative to our old FreshFlash catalog software. It wasn’t compatible with iOS devices. Furthermore, the user experience was too bad, and the software was lacking important functions.


FlippingBook provided Camlog with a professional solution for converting PDFs into digital documents that open smoothly, have convenient navigation, and look great on any device.

We chose FlippingBook because the possibilities are so various. FlippingBook is easy to use, and the user experience is very good. A crucial factor was the price-performance ratio. The subscription model of the competitors wasn’t attractive for us.

Camlog successfully integrated FlippingBook documents into their work outside and inside the company. They have three main types of FlippingBook publications: marketing brochures, product catalogs, and work instructions.

The most important publications for us and our customers are our three product catalogs (CAMLOG, CONELOG, and iSy), and additionally DEDICAM and Education/Event catalogs in Germany.

The sizes of Camlog publications can vary significantly depending on the document type. It used to be hard to share documents that have multiple pages. FlippingBook allows Camlog to send digital catalogs of any size via email by simply inserting a link to the document directly into the email.


By working with FlippingBook, Camlog has fully achieved their goals and is very happy with the solution. Today Camlog uses different channels to market their catalogs: their publications are embedded into several corporate websites, and all registered customers receive Camlog newsletters. Plus, the Event Department and Customer Services use FlippingBook daily for internal communications.

When we started working with FlippingBook in 2015, we transferred over 70 German brochures and catalogs created with the previous software to the FlippingBook format. This summer we have created 70 new English brochures with FlippingBook. In the meantime, we have generated around 120 flipbooks; 80-90% are updated regularly (work instructions, product catalogs, event book, partner magazine, etc.).
