We're not omnipotent, and nor are our servers. To make sure everyone has a fair shot at creating quality flipbooks without slowing down our servers, we've set some limits. You can upload PDFs of up to 50 MB with our Lite plan, up to 250 MB with our Starter plan, and up to 500 MB with Optimal and Trial. Users of the Advanced, Team, and Enterprise plans can upload PDFs of up to 1 GB. As for the number of pages per flipbook, it goes like this: 100 for Lite, 500 for Starter, 1,000 for Optimal, and 2,000 for Advanced, Team, Enterprise, and Trial.

FlippingBook does not limit the number of views your flipbook can get. However, in rare scenarios, the overall number of views can exceed hundreds of thousands a month, thus requiring additional resources from us and our servers to keep your content up and running. If this occurs, we will contact you to find a suitable solution: we may ask you to upgrade or host your content on your own server with our desktop tool.

By default, all flipbooks are hosted at online.flippingbook.com, but you can customize the domain name to something like catalogs.yourcompany.com. You'll get branded flipbook URLs for instantly recognizable, more trustworthy content. This option is available in FlippingBook Online Advanced, Team, and Enterprise. Also, you can set up multiple custom domains or even self-host flipbooks in Enterprise.

Sorry, but no. The flipbooks are only available while hosted in your FlippingBook Online account (unless you choose to self-host). However, your readers can download the original PDF from the flipbook by clicking on the Download button. Also, you can create offline documents with FlippingBook Publisher, our desktop software.

Sure. Self-hosting is available in the Enterprise plan of FlippingBook Online as well as in the Advanced and Team plans on request. You can host flipbooks independently from FlippingBook by downloading files for self-hosting in a .zip archive and uploading them to your server.

Yes, you can set a password to protect the sensitive content in your flipbooks from unwanted viewing. This option is available in FlippingBook Online Advanced, Team, Enterprise.

Yes, you can. Though there is a way to make your flipbooks searchable, they are always unsearchable by default. So you can safely upload your flipbooks to FlippingBook Online—unless you decide to make them SEO-friendly, they will stay private at all times.

There's no free plan in FlippingBook Online. However, we offer a free 14-day trial with all the features except for Custom Domain.

No. All flipbooks created with FlippingBook are ad-free, always.

The trial plan is available for 14 days, and you're free to play around and explore everything we have to offer with a couple exceptions. You don't have access to Custom Domain, and SSO, and you can create only 10 flipbooks and 50 trackable links. Please stick to the limit of 2,000 pages per flipbook and upload PDFs of up to 500 MB only. Apart from that, there's nothing holding you back!

If your original PDF file contains a structure of bookmarks, they will be detected by FlippingBook Online upon upload and transformed into an interactive table of contents. But once a bookmark-free PDF is converted to a digital flipbook, there is no way to add a table of contents manually.

Your flipbooks will work as long as your subscription is active. Once it expires, they will work for 14 more days in case you weren't planning to cancel and there was a billing issue.
